I wonder if it's a bad time

innitmarvelous_ogI have been thinking of my (Til My Soul Is) Dust series and how that ended, specifically how Morgan and his time found a vaccine for cancer which basically would eliminate the disease from existence. Well, if that's basically a cure and eradication of it, and he studied to be a research doctor who wanted to find a way to eliminated cancer, then what's he supposed to do at he does this while he's still in his 40s?
Then an idea came to me, due partly to the outbreaks of Hantavirus and recently that of the more deadly Ebola in the Congo...
What if Morgan turned his Stark mind to trying to eliminate or at least find a way to cut in half or more how deadly viruses like Ebola are?
But I wonder dare I write something with Ebola being talked about by fictional characters while real people are being infected with Ebola and dying in the Congo? Is it the wrong time? Is is inappropriate?
